30 rock, you should be.
Now you should all know:
I. Love. Tina Fey.
Ever since the first time I saw her on Weekend Update with Jimmy Fallon, I have loved her. In highschool.. at a speech contest.... with extremely small town conservative judges... I did a monologue that Tina Fey did on SNL about Hugh Hefner and his 7 girlfriends. God I wish I still had the critiques from that performance so I could share them, because they are priceless. ANYWAY, I love Mean Girls, I love Baby Mama, I lived and died for the Sarah Palin skits during the election, but for some reason I never got into 30 Rock. I don't know why. So there was an article in a very old Entertainment Weekly magazine that was in the bathroom at my house, and it was Tina Fey and the 5 Reasons You Should Watch 30 Rock. And she said one of the reasons was "You're already watching The Office, just don't move." And also you should know:
I. Love. The Office.
So I was watching The Office on Thursday and I decided to stay put and watch 30 Rock. That show is freaking hysterical. It is smart, the cast is great, it's fast paced, I can't say enough good things. So I watched the rest of this season online and part of last season and it is SOOOO FUUNNNNYYY. Seriously, that show is AMAZING. Watch it. So we can talk about it.
Thats it.

thanksgiving break #1
I'm back in Oklahoma City for Thanksgiving break. I've been back since Friday afternoon. It's Sunday. I'm ready to go back to Ruston.
To do list for the break:
1) Costume designs for Private Lives.
2) Get grad school stuff organized and ready to send off.
3) Register for SETC.
4) Study Spanish. Seriously.
5) Play Rock Band.
6) See TWILIGHT at midnight.
I was fully prepared to accomplish all of these things before the break started but now that I'm home... I just wanna lay in bed and watch 30 Rock. The only thing I have accomplished is #5. And I did 1 costume design for P.L. last night. ONE.
Can I just say... my family loves to gossip. But there's really nothing dramatic about my family so it's really hilarious. Case and point: For those of you who don't know, I recently became a vegetarian. It started October 20th to be exact. So this afternoon we went to have lunch with the family, a Sunday tradition that has been going on for as long as I can remember. I sit down and my 10 year-old cousin Erin walks up to me like she's the queen of the world and says
Erin: KATY! Are you weally a vegetarian?!
Katy: Yeah, how did you know?
Erin: Aunt Cindy (my mom) told Mimi (my grandma) and Mimi told my mom (my aunt Amy) on the phone last night that you don't eat mean and your a vegetawian.
I was bombarded with similar conversations and questions about my recent life altering decision. "Why are you doing it?" "How long has this been going on?" "Why do you want to be a hippie?" etc. etc. etc. Good times.
Well, there really is not much to say about my break thus far. Hopefully something amazing will happen soon.
Thats it.
